Although the name says Ya Ya Noodles Chinese Restaurant, we call the place Sushi John's. Not that the Chinese food is not excellent. Quite the contrary, it is traditional and very tasty. But more times than not, I sit at the Sushi Bar where the owner John serves up innovative asian inspired sushi and sashimi. John is always surprising us with something new. His Omakase is a great deal available on Thursday nights. But if you go on Thursdays, go early and BYOB as the Sushi Bar gets full quickly. Staff is very attentive. After COVID, the restaurant got a complete makeover. Nice and cosy. Great music.

Came here for Father's Day for lunch and there was no wait time. It's pretty decent Chinese food, the flavors were good but found the pork belly and shrimp a bit too salty. I wasn't expecting the halibut dish to be in a soup. Most sichuan dishes I order are usually in a dry pot. It was still good nevertheless. I would come again and request less salt because the prices were reasonable and there's a good variety of dishes. The interior wasn't anything aesthetic but thats usually a telltale sign that an Asian restaurant is good.

Old favorite in our neighborhood! Great food and great service! Friendly staff and the owner when present will come around to greet everyone. You feel at home and the mouth watering food is just delicious and delightful! You have a choice of Chinese and Sushi dishes. I always get the Chirashi, my wife gets the sushi rolls, son gets the General Tso's chicken and my daughter always gets the Drunken noodles! Yummy!

You can ask for the Chinese menu. It's OK, it's in English too. Service was great. Food was fantastic! Dining was comfortable and quick.

I really like Ya Ya noodles! When you sit down, they give you delicious chips with orange sauce and hot tea. I like the fried dumplings as an appetizer. If you're looking for a very healthy dish, the steamed chicken and vegetables is amazing! It's as tasty as a healthy dish can be. I usually order the sesame chicken. The meat quality here is what impresses me the most. It's all white meat chicken and there's never any funny pieces (I'm a picky eater). The only thing that's missing here is a dessert menu.

Took my daughter there for fried flounder, calamari, & double cooked pork belly--still amazing. Ordered take away--fried flounder, calamari, lamb 2 ways--again, delicious. Restaurant moved from the corner to the next space over. Much of the same staff as pre-pandemic. Omakase each Thursday night--can't wait to abandon my kids and feast! The online menu is more expensive than calling in, but we are just happy to support a local business that consistently has fantastic food. The car still smells like the lamb & aubergine in garlic sauce from take away 2 nights ago, so I have to stop myself from ordering it again.
